Channel3, Inc. ("Channel3", "we", "us", or "our") provides a platform and developer tools to power commerce experiences across web and AI applications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our websites, web app, APIs, SDKs, extensions, and mobile apps (collectively, the "Services"). This policy includes disclosures required by California law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Scope and audience
This policy applies to developers and businesses using Channel3, as well as end users interacting with experiences powered by Channel3 where Channel3 acts as a service provider/processor on behalf of our customers. In those cases, our customers control the data they send to us via the Services.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, organization/team information, and role. Authentication is provided by Clerk. You may sign in with email/password or social logins such as Google or GitHub.
- API and developer usage: API keys; request and response payloads (which may include text and images you upload), timestamps, IP address, and user agent.
- Commerce and click analytics: product and merchant identifiers clicked, referrer/UTM parameters, session/device information, IP address, and approximate location.
- Logs and telemetry: application and server logs, performance data, and error diagnostics.
- Communications: if you contact us (e.g., email), we process the content of your message and associated metadata.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers; Stripe handles payment information on our behalf.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Monitor usage, performance, and reliability
- Prevent abuse, detect fraud, and ensure platform integrity
- Provide customer support and communicate about the Services
- Analyze and improve features, models, and user experience
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce terms
We do not use customer content sent to our APIs to train our internal models.
Affiliate links and monetization
Channel3 may include links to merchants that allow us to earn commission on resulting purchases. We do not share personal information with affiliate networks for this purpose, and we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
How we share information
We disclose information to service providers (sub-processors) who process data on our behalf under written agreements, including:
- Hosting and infrastructure (e.g., edge and networking providers)
- Authentication (Clerk)
- Payments (Stripe)
- Analytics, logging, and error monitoring
- Communication and email delivery

We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights, or in connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger or acquisition).
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services (session/authentication) and to understand usage (analytics). For visitors in the EU/EEA and UK, analytics cookies are only set after you provide consent via our cookie banner. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Channel3 honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out preference for any sale or sharing under California law.

Your privacy rights
California residents
If you are a California resident, you have rights to request access to and deletion or correction of your personal information, and to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. Channel3 does not sell or share personal information as defined by California law. We honor GPC signals.
EU/EEA and UK residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations
- Right to restrict processing: Request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances
- Right to data portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format
- Right to object: Object to processing of your personal data based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent (e.g., analytics cookies), you may withdraw consent at any time
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email founders@trychannel3.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type and context.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International users
Channel3 is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required by applicable data protection laws (including the GDPR), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email. The "Effective" date at the top indicates when this policy last changed.
